Nugget 1

Procrastination robs you of the great goals you would otherwise achieve.

You know the goals you want to achieve and most often, you know what you have to do. But why aren’t you doing it? Why are you allowing procrastination to rob you of your goals? Don’t let procrastination deceive you; the only way you’re going to reach your goal is by taking action.

Nugget 2

Your past mistakes and present place don’t have to limit your future state.

We all make mistakes, which often delay our progress. But that doesn’t mean you can’t finish strong; you learn from your mistakes, improve, and push through to reach your goals. You don’t have to be paralyzed by your past and defeated by your present. Yesterday is gone, but you can use today to create a better tomorrow.

Nugget 3

Don’t spend so much time and money consuming when you could be producing.

Part of making the contribution you were born to make is transitioning from being a consumer (someone eats up what others produce) to being a producer (someone from which people something they need). To go from consumption to production, you must make a conscious effort; because many societal forces want to keep you stuck in consumerism.

Nugget 4

Great teachers accelerate your learning journey.

On this journey called “life,” you don’t have to figure everything out on your own. Many people—and some are in your circle—are ahead of you, and they would be delighted to teach you the lessons they’ve learned along the way. And if you’re teachable, these “teachers” can propel you forward—and this is true for any area of your life: relationships, finances, spirituality, parenting, etc.

Nugget 5

We flourish most in the context of a community.

You’re not meant to live in isolation like a cactus in the desert. To grow and become who you’re designed to be, you need others—more like a lush tree in the forest. Seek the company of others who motivate you to reach higher, love deeper, and serve better: people who bring the best out of you.

Nugget 6

Forgiving cleanses the soul.

Abhorring unforgivingness in your heart stains and contaminates your soul. When you forgive, you’re the one who benefits the most; it allows you to get rid of the venom that poisons your soul. It’s not always easy to forgive. But you owe it to yourself to forgive and continue your journey free.

Nugget 7

Be intentional about injecting novelty into your life.

We tend to get stuck in our routines and set in our ways. From time to time, it’s beneficial to inject “the new” in our lives; it expands our minds and enriches our lives. Eat something different. Try a new activity. Learn something new. Spice your life up with a pinch of novelty.
