How To Make This Year Exceptional – Part 3

Despite its ups and downs, 2018 can be an exceptional year—if you do what it takes to make it exceptional. There’s so much you can achieve in the upcoming year, provided that you put mind, heart, and hands to it.

Here are five things that can make a significant difference in how your year unfolds. By focusing on these five things, you’ll put yourself in the best position to have a great year.

1. Attention

Attention is currency. You get what you buy with your attention; what you focus on grows.

There are so many things that compete for a piece of your attention. And it’s up to you to ensure you place your attention on things that matter most to you. During this year, many things will seek to throw off track. But you must keep your focus.

Once you’ve established your goals and priorities for the year, you must ensure you give them the attention they require.

2. Action

Nothing happens until you take action. Without work, your year will be nothing close to what you want it to be. If you’re going to make this an exceptional year, you must take massive action on your goals. Your actions must match your ambitions.

From the start of the year, you must have a bias toward action. When you set a goal for yourself, you don’t procrastinate; you gear into action.

3. Attitude

Your attitude is the fragrance of your soul. Throughout the year, problems will seek to “rain on your parade.” You must discipline yourself to keep your attitude positive. Challenges will come, no doubt. However, the way you react to them is up to you.

Resolve to keep a positive outlook no matter what the year brings.

4. Associations

Whom you associate with matters. Associate with the wrong crowd and your year may take a turn for the worse. Conversely, connecting with the right people can take your life to a whole new level. Your associations can make or break you.

This year, be mindful of the people who invest your time and energy on.

5. Artistry

You are creative, and your creativity needs an outlet so that you can express it. Inject a little bit of “you” in everything you produce. Whatever you do, make sure it bears your DNA.

You don’t have to hide and try to fit in. You have a unique contribution to make, and you must make it. Express your uniqueness. It’s your time to shine.
