The Positive Attitude Challenge – Eat Exquisite Meals

If you eat junk food and drink soda nonstop, sooner or later, your body will lack the nutrients it needs to function optimally, and you’ll eventually have health issues. You may have heard this before: you are what you eat.

To operate effectively, your body needs to be fed proper nutrients—daily. The good news is that you decide which foods you put in your mouth. Therefore, if you haven’t been feeding your body well, you can change.

Like your body, your mind needs proper “nutrients” to operate effectively. More specifically, the ideas you consume have a huge impact on your attitude. Here too, you are what you eat. And the GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out) principle applies. If you consume negative ideas round-the-clock, your attitude will exude exactly this: negativity.

You must get a proper dose of positivity daily. Again, the good news is that you decide the information you feed your mind. And if you’ve been indulging in a lot of mental junk food and haven’t been providing your mind with the proper information it needs to operate optimally, you can change.

Are you feeding your mind with uplifting ideas, such has reading empowering books, listening to inspiring stories, watching motivating videos? Or are you stuffing yourself with a constant influx of bad news, gossip articles, and gory stories?

Bad news, gossip articles, and the like don’t uplift your soul. These might be entertaining, but ultimately, they leave your soul dejected. Conversely, inspiring material uplifts your soul.

I’m not saying that you can’t eat a mental donut from time to time. But this shouldn’t be an important part of your regular diet.

Negativity is all around you, and want it or not, you’ll be exposed to it. In such context, it can be quite a challenge to maintain a positive attitude. Thus, you must become intentional about feeding your mind with content that helps you foster a positive attitude. You can’t leave this to mass media, just as you can’t leave your diet in the hands of the fast food industry.

To cultivate a positive attitude, you must be intentional about feeding your mind exquisite meals: empowering ideas that uplift your soul.
